I just can’t get enough of Arnold looking amazed and saying, “Crom!”
I’ll write more as I watch more.
Okay, more. One of the scenes I remember vividly from when this movie was released decades ago is where Conan is asked what is best in life and he replies in a thick Austrian accent: “Crush your enemies! See them driven before you! And to hear the lamentation of their women!” That’s the line where you laugh out loud.
When I watched it today, there’s an even funnier line at the start of the scene. This group of bad-ass Mongol warlords who go around raping and pillaging (they have enslaved Conan and made him into their gladiator and stud (Yes, a STUD!)), they are sitting around the table eating, drinking, and/or gambling and you actually hear one of them say:
“I fear that my sons will never understand me.”
Damn, could it get any funnier than that?
